Class C Edwin Nunez, Class B Ben Torrefiel, Class A Fareed Aquino and Class A Mel Solas topped the FBGR-Kapitbahay Annual One Day Tournament to enter the grand annual finals to be held in November 2009. Nunez, who works at Bank Albilad, took the number spot in the firsst week of the competition along with other winners in the same week, Class B Gigi Enriquez and Class D Omar Valdes. In the second week, titlist Class A Atoi Ramos, who works at Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), finished ahead while Class B Ric Tugonon of Ericsson and Class C Danny Nabong secured the second and third spots respectively. In Week 3, promising Ben Torrefiel of Banque Saudi Fransi splashed his deadly form to capture the number one place. Class C Arnold Quindara took the second place while Class A Rico Feria settled for third. Class A Fareed Aquino excelled to bag the first place in Week 4. Class A veteran Wilson Bacala finished second while youthful Richard Feria, a Class B player, took the third position. Mel Solas, a Class A player and pride of Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), emerged as the holder of numero uno spot. Landing in second place was Allan Doruelo of Advanced Electonics Co. and placing third was the fastrising Fem Baracoso of Hill International. The Grand Annual Finals will be held in November 2009 wherein a Bravia LCD 37” color television set, plus elegant trophy will be award to the FBGR Bowler of the Year.
