Toyota Tennis Club takes lead in Sarawat tourney

Toyota Tennis Club took lead in Category C, B2 and Lower Mix of the Sarawat Super Stores Team Tennis Tournament which is being held at Albilad Hotel Tennis courts.
Toyota, playing against the Jeddah Ranao Tennis Club (JRTC-1), proved that it is the team to beat in Category C. In its first doubles, Ricky and Mel upset Faiz and Deleon (8-4). Then Lito and Carlo defeated Michael and Lao (8-6) while Angel and Joe won over Ken and Ray (8-0). In the fourth match, Rolly and Edwin overpowered Manny and Daud (8-5) and in the last game, Fidel and Nol lost to Sidik and Amin (1-8) for a 4-1 decision for Toyota .
In the same category, C-130 won over Jeddah Tausug Tennisters. In the first match, Mark and Alala were defeated by Dandy and Norman (2-8). Then Michael and Gasan defeated Ben Razil and Ricardo (8-2). Danny and Gil prevailed over Haroun and Reagan (8-6) while Lito and Darrel won against Bong and Butch (8-2). The tandem of Arnel and Andy won over Sabri and Ben Rashdi (8-0) which gave the C-130 team a 4-1win.
In Lower Mix Category, Milo Kroskort won against NCB. Lito Mosquera and Jojo Dionisio won over Sohail Hafez and Joey Liclayo in a close encounter 8-5, while Jericho Balaquidan and Jeffrey Zamudio were defeated by Jun Rafusan and Jao Sabado 6-8. Boy Prado and Shaun also were defeated by Jun Potestad and Jun Alunday 4-8, while the tandem of Mar Panahon and Leo Riconalla helped the team in a decision match over Rene Palad and Eddie Belen (8-4). Dante Santiago and Joel Libre lifted their team over Joe Bao and Ahmed Younis (8-0) 3-2.
In higher Category B1, JCC won over Al-Mabani 3-2. Lito Dare and Alex Pena won over Koi and Jan (9-7) which was followed by the victory of Mhedz Mabang and Danny Canoy (8-2). Gerry Alcantara and Dominic Dadal were defeated by Mohammed Farsi and Bilal in a tie-breaker 8-9. George Bornales and Rad were dominated by Roel and Masood (4-8) which extended the match into a fifth game where Cocoy and Maan won over Domer Zamora and Nilo Salvedia 8-0 that helped JCC down Al-Mabani.
This tournament is organized by the All Filipino Tennis Players Association under the supervision of Jeddah Base Tennis Players and sponsored by Sarawat Super Stores, Western Union and Albilad Hotel. __
