ABB Contracting Company bags Team of the Week award

ABB Contracting Co. bankables Johnny Diores, Bonnie Garcia and Oca Bernabe were primed in last week's showdown with top contenders and their back-up also had room to shine in a victory to lift ABB Contracting Co. to the Team of the Week award by exploding 34.5 points in the 9th week of the Jeddah Thursday Bowling League here.
The league, which is sponsored by Sarawat Superstores, is organized by Igna Salgado.
Diores scored an impressive series of 691, with a game high of 255 while Garcia and Bernabe contributed separate series of 589 and 586 respectively. ABB Contracting Co. also benefited from fine performances from Ruel Santoc (595), Cesar Monares (564) and Chris Cordeta (522). ABB Contracting Co. climbed up the ladder to occupy the second position.
Bulak “Bowl” collected 30 points to share bowling spotlight with ABB Contracting Co. and at the centerstage was Bher del Rosario who carded a series of 612. Dennis Alvarado and Gary Misa seared the lanes to tally 586 and 583 while Carl Alvarado, Abet Dorado and Hadi Pacheco scored 567, 565 and 551.
Mixed Nuts through the devastating form of L-jay Laderas, Yasser Hokbi and Ray Thompson posted 25 points. Laderas led with 627 and he was followed by Hokbi (622) and Thompson (620). Toto Lim sealed 540 points while Laver Laderas and Arnold Biblanas contributed 516 and 506.
A total of 27 points were registered by the Cool Change Reload and topscoring was the unstoppable Zaldy Bacero with 634 points (211, 159, 252). Rey del Rosario dazzled by knocking down 593 points.
Hataw-III snatched 23 points through the heroics of Ernie Geslani (628), Alex Flora (600), Jimmy Leonida (588) and Rudy Punzalan (573). Danny Manrisa downed 483 points.
RSP Pwede Pa Kami snatched 20.5 points through the sterling performances of Atoi Cruz (595), Andy Yumina (588) and promising Luis Luna (587). Sammy Ocampo, Voi Ycong and Paul Antiporda added separate series of 548, 541 and 484.
Ball Mixers through the fine display of Nap Patayan posted 20 points. He carded a three-game series of 617 (187, 207, 211). Mark Hernandez and Nanding Siasoco delighted by submitting separate series of 575 and 564 while Leo Edejer and Dan Edbave sealed 554 and 486.
League leader Sarawat Superstores sealed 15 points to hold on to the number one spot. Archie Santos burned lanes to be on top in Sarawat Superstore by posting 621 points while Rudy Valenzuela, Igna Salgado and Gerry Mandanas supported Santos by contributing separate series of 597, 559 and 546. Southpaw Rally Zamora added 502 points.
Cosma Kabbani and Luvenor garnered 13 and 12 points respectively. At the helm in Cosma Kabbani was Nicko Gozun with 565 points.
The other bowlers who contributed well were Jess Cerbito (557), Danny Pamintuan (553), Pancho Cuevas (532), Rey Beltran (517) and Tommy de Castro (494).
For the Luvenor quintet on top were Jack Jarin (575) and Ed “flash bomba” Cordova (562). Larry Domingo rolled 554. Joel Nidoy sparkled 515 points while Ferdie Coloma and Nards Hassan had 515 and 449.
