Shabab joined the last four in the Prince Faisal Cup after edging Najran 1-0 in their Group C match at the Al-Akhdod Club Stadium in Najran on Saturday. Abdul Aziz Al-Saran scored the only goal of the match in the 66th minute to end the Najran run in the competition. Al-Shabab tops the group with nine points with one match still in hand while Najran in second on six points. One team each from the four groups will advance to the second knock-out round. In another match in Group D, Al-Ittifaq kept its hopes alive after winning 1-0 against Abha at the Prince Sultan Sports City in Asir. After a goalless first half, Badr Al-Khamis sealed the win for the eastern side team in the 62nd minute. The win did not help Al-Ittifaq to secure a spot in the next round but did add three precious points which helped it stay second on six points. Al-Ittifaq will play a crucial match against group leader Al-Nasr, nine points, to decide the group qualifier. __
