JEDDAH — A five-day course on “PMP” was organized by the Indian Engineers Forum (IEF)-Jeddah chapter at Hotel Casabalanca recently for Indian engineers. Attendees were presented with certificates at the end of the course. International PMP trainer Farooq Qureshi had come from India on IEF's invitation to train engineers for the PMP course. In past he has trained several engineers of different nationalities, including Saudis. IEF President Mohammed Sayeeduddin said: PMP is an important tool for engineers working on different projects. He advised engineers to continue learning through certification courses as it will help them to upgrade their skills and get certified according to the requirement of the current era. Farooq Qureshi, PMP trainer, advised all attendees of the course to work hard and get benefit by the services provided by IEF. He advised attendees to study constantly for the course of PMP and it is not difficult to get certified by online examination. On behalf of IEF, General Secretary Syed Nasir Khursheed expressed deep sense of appreciation to Farooq Qureshi for his excellence, passion and dedication towards training engineers. He further appealed the members to come forward and strengthen the forum as this is a platform of technocrats where you have the opportunity to help other fellow engineers for upgradation. Feedbacks from attendees were encouraging. Habeeb Rahman, project manager from IT Company, said: Now I feel more confident as knowledge of PMP is essential to manage projects smoothly. Amin Abdul Rahman said PMP certification adds credit to my resume and makes it far more competitive. While Abdul Jabbar said PMP certification in any industry is almost helpful and in many industries it is even necessary. — SG
