In cooperation with the public campaign launched by King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to collect urgent donations for the support of the Palestinians, Saudi Telecom Company has allocated the number 88504 for customers wishing to donate through AlJawal. By sending a blank SMS to this number, SR10 will be added to the customer's balance as a direct donation. All donations will be handed directly to the responsible authorities represented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which is supervising the campaign under the leadership of Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz. Saudi Telecom is supporting the campaign to demonstrate its solidarity with the Palestinian people by enabling AlJawal customers to help alleviate the suffering. As a further gesture of support, STC has announced an 80 percent reduction on outgoing call rates to Palestine from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a separate development, Saudi Telecom, represented by Eng. Nawaf Bin Sa'ad Al Sha'alani, marketing manager-STC Residential Sector, has signed an agreement with the famous poet Hamid Zaid to introduce his poems to STC customers via its Same'ani information service. By calling the number 1400 from any land or mobile line customers can listen to the poet reciting his verses, which he has recorded for STC's voice service, the first of its kind in the region.
