Acer inspires gamers with innovative Predator series
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 04 - 10 - 2015

ACER has introduced its anticipated gaming product line – the Predator Series, to the Middle East at the Acer Collection 2015 press event held at the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi on Nov. 30.
In addition, Acer showcased its leading devices including the versatile two-in-one Aspire Switch series laptops, notebooks, convertibles, and the ‘build you own computer' Revo Build desktop.
Acer's newly released products feature pioneering technologies such as the 6th generation Intel Core processor. “Today, we are thrilled to unveil our new Predator gaming machine to hard-core gamers in the Middle East.
Gaming is fast becoming a part of Middle Eastern popular culture and we have worked tirelessly to bring this new line of products to our regional consumers,” said Celeste Gibbens, Marketing Manager Middle East & Africa, Acer.
“Our relentless research and passion about our end users ensures that we continue to surprise them by delivering best-in-class experiences with every product.
The Acer range today features a product that suits every aspect of our consumers' lives.” For on-the-go gamers, the Predator 17 and Predator 15 notebooks support the Predator FrostCore, a third fan module that may be swapped in with the optical drive to lower the CPU and GPU temperature further by up to 5% , providing a smoother gaming experience.
While the Predator 8 tablet supports Predator Quadio, an array of four speakers with a special DSP algorithm to enhance sound quality with virtual surround, in addition to Predator TacSense, which provides haptic feedback for games and videos.
The new Revo Build Series (M1-601) Mini PC takes a modular approach to allow consumers to customize their computer without opening up the chassis.
“Blocks” with different features can be easily stacked on top of the base unit, which makes adding functionality as easy as playing with toy blocks.
The Revo Build M1-601 desktop is packaged in a tiny 1 liter chassis with a 125 x 125 mm footprint that takes up minimal space and can be placed almost anywhere.
Acer's innovative two-in-one Aspire Switch 10E was showcased at the event. Its brilliant new Acer Snap Hinge™ 2 transforms the Switch series into four different devices, simply and incredibly smoothly. Add to that the long battery life, and users have a partner for serious work and play.
The convertible Aspire R 11 and Aspire R 13 are designed to give users peace of mind. The touchscreen and back cover are encased in Corning Gorilla Glass – to ensure improved protection for on the go customers.
The celebrated Aspire S7 Ultrabook just got even better. This thin, light, strong, and definitely very "premium" notebook is now even more powerful than before. These exciting products will be available throughout the Middle East and Africa in Q3 and Q4 of 2015. — SG
