LG G4 captures vividly Saudi National Day on highest peak
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 01 - 10 - 2015

AFTER 3 months of hard extensive training, preparing for the day, and the actual climb to the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro which took them 7 days to reach, LG and Qimmam team took the Saudi national flag to the summit of Africa's highest mountain.
Under a temperature reaching to -10 C, and faced with wind, rain and some little snow, hard mountain terrain, nature obstacles and wilderness, the LG & Qimmam team is back from one of the most unique mountain climbs ever, having done and accomplished what millions of Saudis around the world will be proud of, and talk about over generations.
This adventurous young team, dominated by young Saudi men and women, has taken the Saudi national flag on the peak of Kilimanjaro, proud and honored by this feat.
LG Saudi Arabia, who has since day one adopted the idea and supported it with all the needed logistics, is now even more proud and honored by having shared with the Saudi community this memorable national day.
“Let there be no doubt, in anyone's mind, and everyone, LG Saudi is here to be part of the today's life of the Saudi family” said Deuk Soo Ahn, President of LG Electronics Saudi Arabia, "That will embody all aspects of the common and daily life, the needs and aspirations, their events and celebrations, their culture, and mainly their national pride and feelings.”
One of our LG team members from South Korea was among the LG Qimmam team, portraying in the clearest and shiniest manner, the bond LG has established with the Saudi community.
Deuk added: “I wish Saudi Arabia, its leaders, and citizens many happy national days, prosperity and wealth.”
From their side, the LG Qimmam team had some wild stories to go about, mixed with emotions and pride for the achievement.
Ahmed Bagader, member of Qimmam team, had a lot of words to say about LG and their swift response to their Kilimanjaro adventure. He said about the concept: “Qimmam Adventure Club conceived of promoting the outdoor in the KSA. We knew and believed that there has to be someone or some entity that works on promoting this lifestyle and the sport (outdoor sports in general) to attract more people to join. This is when we created Qimmam Adventure Club (Summits). Qimmam works on both sides of the spectrum, people who want to do outdoor sports and people who have the know-how and are willing to teach others. Nothing would have worked better than taking a group of people living in the KSA and train them to climb the highest mountain in Africa and the 4th highest in the world that is Kilimanjaro to promote what Qimmam does. Qimmam also need a partner to join us and allow us to achieve our goal. LG were the perfect partners. With a slogan like ‘Life is good' we would've never found a better partner in this amazing adventure.”
Part of Qimmam promoting Saudi Arabia's outstanding mountains and outdoors has to be social media. A picture speaks a thousand words and pictures were and will always be our best tool in promoting the Saudi outdoors and wilderness. This is when LG's flagship smartphone, the new G4, came very handy with its amazing camera, taking wonderful pictures that allowed us and will continue to allow us to promote what we do and attract more people to join us and enjoy the good life.” — SG
