JEDDAH — The Saudi consumers are more critical when it comes to perfumes than any other consumers in the world and we consider the Saudi fragrance market is more important than France, Italy and Germany, said an expert.
During his recent visit here, to unveil the new collection of INITIO fragrances, Ivan Jalklin, INITIO's executive manager, told Saudi Gazette exclusively that Saudi Arabia remains a relatively traditional market when it comes to perfumes because Saudis are perfume lovers.
He said that the Saudi market is unique and consumers here have a passion for fragrances, adding, “When you are successful in Saudi Arabia, you are successful in the world because Saudis are more critical in a good way; they know exactly what perfumes are.”
He said Saudi Arabia is one of the world's largest regional market for fragrances and the size of the perfume market is huge.
Ivan, GCC and Arab consuls, businessmen, VIPs and media representatives were present on Tuesday during the unveiling of the new collection of INITIO fragrances at Paris Gallery showroom in the Kingdom.
The story behind “INITIO” — which means (the beginning) in Latin — is from thousands of years ago when scents and fragrances used to influence and fascinate our behavior towards others and our mood. This fact — which is proven scientifically — revolves around the point that scents play an important role in our social and emotional lives.
So after years of research by top scientists working side by side with perfumes master (Alberto Morillas), they created a collection of perfume with a strong emotional power, to amplify the magnetism and power of attraction.
Jalklin expressed his pride at the launch and said: “INITIO takes fragrances to new heights, with enhanced powers that defy the imagination. Wild nature and the science of pheromones fuse deeply together within the formulas, working their magic imperceptibly. The Absolutes and The Magnetic Blend, invisible forces to be worn alone or blended together, INITIO fragrances stir your instincts.”
The creators of INITIO fragrances, says it is one world with two visions, the first one is “Absolutes”, with 4 creations elaborated from the finest blend of the rarest ingredients renowned for their mystical powers and mysterious virtues:

* Blessed Baraka: a solar fragrance endowed with a sacred strength. A captivating blend of musk, sandalwood and amber. An intangible energy surrounds the wearer. Its effect oscillates between pure power and pure addition.
* Mystic Experience: heady and distinguished combination of musk and coffee, this fragrance captivates the senses, unsettling all around you. It's a fragrance for the initiated on a quest for transcendent experiences.

* Divine Attraction: leather and Vetiver blend beauty, strength and the supernatural within an accord that loves to provoke. The fragrance that feeds fantasies.

* Absolute Aphrodisiac: the softness of vanilla, intimately intertwined with the animal potency of musk and castoreum. A powerful fragrance that obsessively reminds you of the other. While in the Magnetic blends harness the power of pheromones. Three fragrances composed of molecules whose invisible powers influence behavior, to prove that when science excels, it becomes an art!

* Magnetic Blend 1: magnetic, bestial… All the power of natural ambergris in a molecule with pheromone effects.

* Magnetic Blend 7: the sheer mystery of a molecule infused with the pheromone power of animal musk. It fuses with skin, revealing its inner nature. Like fire under ice, its sweet violence builds to a devastating crescendo.

* Magnetic Blend 8: a noble, commanding fragrance. Its natural accents amplify the molecule's pheromonal strength. In a blend of sensuous potency and supernatural vibrations, musk and frankincense confers a magnetic presence.
