Follow monotheism, proper creed, Humaid tells pilgrims
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 19 - 09 - 2015

Saudi Gazette report
MAKKAH/MADINAH – Pilgrims must strictly adhere to the principles of monotheism and in so doing should adopt a proper creed, Sheikh Saleh Bin Humaid, Imam and Khateeb of the Grand Mosque, has said.
Calling on an avalanche of pilgrims assembled in the Grand Mosque for Friday noon prayers, he asked them to obey Almighty Allah and His Prophet (peace be upon him) in all worldly and religious matters. He said Allah and His Prophet have ordered Muslims to glorify, respect and honor the Grand Mosque.
Delivering his Friday sermon, the imam asked the pilgrims to stay away from heresies and worshiping anything other than Allah. He also stressed that pilgrims should exert their utmost to keep away from committing sins and violating the sanctity of the Grand Mosque which was built to achieve a great purpose — to worship Allah alone and achieve monotheism, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.
Speaking about Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Bin Humaid condemned the brutal attacks, barbaric practices and aggressive acts by Israeli forces in the mosque's courtyards. The flagrant Israeli aggression is an extension of the unjust usurpation of Palestinian lands by the Jewish state, he said.
The imam wondered why the world community remains silent when the suffering of Palestinians is increasing by the day.
He stressed that the Palestinians resisting Israeli occupation should not be left alone; all help should be provided to them in their fight against Israeli oppression and tyranny.
In Madinah, Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi, Imam and Khateeb of the Prophet's Mosque, called on Muslims to study the causes of discord among the Ummah and adopting deviant thoughts.
