Riyadh TNTJ organizes blood donation camp for Haj pilgrims

RIYADH — The Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath (TNTJ) Riyadh Chapter organized the 37th Mega Blood Donation Camp in order for the blood to be used during this year's Haj.
The campaign was held last Friday in coordination with “King Fahd Medical City (KFMC). Over 410 people participated in the drive and altogether they donated 326 units.
The KFMC Lab Team led by James provided full support to TNTJ volunteers. The Laboratory Director Saud Al Anazi thanked TNTJ for organizing such noble work continuously.
The TNTJ blood donation campaign coordinator Haja Mydeen said, “So far his organization [TNTJ] has conducted 36 camps and TNTJ continues to be No. 1 organization in donating blood for the last 10 years and the hospital authorities has awarded more than 15 awards to TNTJ praising the noble contribution.”
He said, “By the grace of Almighty Allah, Riyadh TNTJ continues to be No. 1 on the voluntary blood donation campaign in the Gulf country.”
In recognition of the noble contribution, TNTJ has received a number of awards from the Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia, and the Indian state Tamil Nadu government.
Riyadh TNTJ President Irshad Ahmed said, “TNTJ organizes voluntary blood donation campaign for the emergency requirements for Umrah and Haj season.
The donor's blood will be used for the requirements of Umrah pilgrims. We conduct these camps according to the verse of Noble Qur'an Chapter 5 verse 32 “Whoever saves a life will be as if he has saved entire mankind” which will create social harmony and raze hatred among Muslims.”
Earlier, the TNTJ Riyadh Chapter organized a Mega Blood Donation Camp in coordination with KFMC on Aug. 14 with 110 donors registering and 9 Units donated.
Earlier, the TNTJ Riyadh Chapter organized a Mega Blood Donation Camp in coordination with KFMC has organized 35th Blood Donation Camp on Friday 14th Aug 2015 on the eve of India's Independence Day.
The camp started from morning 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. and a large number of TNTJ volunteers participated, with more than 110 volunteers registering and altogether donating 93units.
Donors included people from the neighboring states of Kerala and Andhra. TNTJ blood donation campaign coordinator Haja said that, so far his Organistiaon TNTJ has conducted 34 camps and TNTJ continues to be the top organization for the last 10 years in voluntary blood donation.
Irshad Ahmed said, “TNTJ organizes voluntary blood donation campaign for emergency requirements of the hospital as well as special camps for Umrah and Haj season.” — SG
