YANBU — Four children were saved from drowning in the southern corniche on Sunday and Monday. Madinah Border Guards spokesman Al-Shanban Al-Qarni said many cases of drowning children happen during Eid. The families spend their days on the beach and the parents let their children roam off freely without any supervision. Al-Qarni said the children were all under 11 years old and the incidents happened on separate occasions. The Border Guards saved a 7-yeat-old Afghani and two Sudanese bothers, aged 7 and 10, on Sunday. They also saved a 4-year-old Burmese boy on Monday.
