Jamoom Fighters and Eirad Travel shine

JEDDAH — Jamoom Fighters and Eirad Travel recorded impressive wins during the third week matches of the Jotun League sponsored by Jotun Saudi Arabia and organized by JCA.

Jamoom Fighters scored a 7-wicket win over Pak Young in a high-scoring match, while Eirad Travel beat Huta Group by 5 wickets.

Pak Young scored 225-5 in 20 overs as Fazal Khattak top scored with a solid 60 with 5 fours and 4 sixes and Younus Khan scored a pugnacious 51 off 28 balls with 6 fours and a six. They were given good support by Asad 24 (3 fours) and Junaid 40 (3 fours and 2 sixes). Adil claimed 3-31, while Saeed and Usman chipped in with a wicket each.

In reply, Jamoom Fighters were off to an aggressive start from the first over and overtook the target with ease, scoring 229-3. Naeem played a blazing knock of 137 not out off only 48 balls with 16 fours and 8 sixes. Umar contributed 36 with 3 fours and 1 six. Riyaz Afridi and Khawar took one wicket each.

Huta Group tallied 202-5 against Eirad Travel. Tahir blasted an unbeaten 62 off 36 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes, while Zafar matched him ball by ball with an innings of 57 off 27 balls with 2 fours and 5 sixes. Rizwan scored 21. Shad Mohammad who took 2-31 then went on to score a polished century — 110 off 42 balls with 9 sixes and 7 fours to take Eirad Travel to a 5-wicket win. He was supported by Shafi (51 not out — 2 fours, 3 sixes) to enable Eirad Travel reach 203-5. Naveed took 2-24, while Tahir, Rizwan and Arshad took one wicket apiece.
