Hawsawi scored a brace as Al-Ahli of Jeddah recorded a 2-1 victory over Abha at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium on Friday. The international striker put the home team ahead after six minutes from the spot few minutes before Mazen Al-Faraj equalized for Abha. After the break, a header for Al-Hawsawi sealed the win for Al-Ahli which enjoyed its fifth win in the Saudi Premier League. The three points, however, did not help Al-Ahli advance in the table it stays sixth with 19 points while Abha remained last with seven points. In another match in Makkah, 10-man Al-Wehdah drew 1-1 with Al-Shabab at the King Abdul Aziz Sports City. Moroccan striker Amir Al-Akrout broke the deadlock after 75 minutes. Al-Shabab, however, equalized five minutes later through Naji Majrashi from the spot. Al-Shabab is now in the third spot with 29 points, while Makkah side Al-Wehdah is seventh with 16. At the Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, a late goal from Benin striker Razak Omotoyossi earned Al-Nasr a 1-0 victory over Al-Ittifaq. The 89th minute goal raised Al-Nasr's hopes of advancing in the league. Al-Nasr is fourth with 21 points, one ahead of the fifth placed Al-Ittifaq.
