ABHA — One Saudi citizen and a child were killed and six others, including two expatriates, were injured in separate mortar shell attacks in the southern Asir and Jazan regions by Houthi rebels on Thursday evening and Friday. Col. Muhammad Al-Asimi, spokesman of the Civil Defense Directorate in Asir region, said Civil Defense teams received reports around 6:30 p.m. Thursday of mortal shells fired from Yemen hitting Al-Hisn village in Dahran Al-Jonoub governorate in Asir. One Saudi died and three others, including two expatriates, injured in the attack. The second attack occurred at around 11.35 a.m. Friday when shells struck some residential neighborhoods on the border villages of Al-Tawal region in Jazan, killing one child and injuring three others. The injured people were taken to hospitals, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
