MANAMA — The new Harley-Davidson Street 750 was launched in an event that took place recently in in Al Areen Wildlife Park in Bahrain.
The event, launched by Monther Al-Mutlaq Trading Est, the authorized dealer for Harley-Davidson in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, gave the visitors the chance to know more about the new bike.
A Harley spokesperson said the Street 750 is targeting young urban riders since it is designed for the demand of stop and go traffic.
Street 570, with it customizable capabilities, is considered as an all new platform in 14 years for the company and it is the first bike to be manufactured outside America.
Compared to other Harley Bikes, 750 is most affordable. 750 is made in India. According to an article that was published in December 2014 in NDTV website, Harley-Davidson called Street 750 the Indian muscle with global aspirations.
It is one of American manufacturers' Indian line-up. Therefore, it would fit the needs of the bike's riders.
It was one of the bikes that were manufactured after the company decided to produce new line of smaller bikes. Because it is smaller than other Harley's bikes, short people will not face any difficulties riding it.
The new motorcycle officially joined the other motorcycles in Harley-Davidson shops in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain since March 28.
The event showcased several specifications for this motorcycle such as, easy lock to lock sweep, 749 cc liquid cooled revolution x engine, 6 speed transmission, mid mount control, led tail lights and bullet signals, locking gas cap forks and ignition, V-Twin with chain-driven single overhead cams and four-valves per cylinder. Wheel size is 17 front, 15 rear, with a wheelbase of 59.5. Weight 480 lbs.
Street 750, which customizes the rider sense of freedom, is belt drive. Street 750 would be sold in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain approximately for around $8,753; however, the first 40 motorcycles will be sold for $7,954.
