Saudi Gazette report MAKKAH — Four hotels were shut down by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) for violating its charter, Makkah reported. Acting head of SCTA licensing Majdi Younis said the authority has been running thorough inspection campaigns and the four hotels shut down were in the Ajyad, Al-Aziziyah, Al-Muabidah and Al-Misfalah districts. He said: “We inspected over 100 tourist resorts and attractions. “Out of them, 48 were issued violation notices. “The violations concerned pricing, licensing, quality of service and investment contracts.” He added tourists and residents of Makkah can report to the authority any violations they see or unsatisfactory services they experience by calling 19988.
