Published in The Saudi Gazette on 25 - 02 - 2015

LOS ANGELES — Mike Conley had a crucial steal in the final seconds then sank two free throws with 1.5 seconds left on the clock as Memphis edged the Los Angeles Clippers 90-87 Monday.
Conley, who finished with 18 points and seven assists, forced Clippers star Chris Paul to turn the ball over with three seconds remaining to seal the win for the Grizzlies.
Jeff Green tallied 16 points and six rebounds and Marc Gasol added 14 points, six rebounds and three blocks for Memphis, who have won four of their last five contests.
Paul finished with 30 points and 10 assists but allowed Conley to poke the ball away from him with the game on the line. DeAndre Jordan finished with 17 rebounds for the Clippers, which had its four-game winning streak snapped.
The Clippers led 22-21 at the end of the first quarter and 44-38 at halftime.
Rockets 113, Timberwolves 102: James Harden earned his second triple-double of the season with 31 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists to help the Houston Rockets fend off the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Minnesota rookie Andrew Wiggins (30 points, seven rebounds) paced the Timberwolves (12-43) who erased a 14-point, fourth-quarter deficit. But the Rockets (38-18) discovered their touch from deep, with Harden nailing their second 3-pointer with 1:33 left for a 107-98 lead.
Heat 119, 76ers 108: The Miami Heat got 29 points from Luol Deng to beat the Philadelphia 76ers.
Goran Dragic, playing just his second game with the Heat, had 23 points and 10 assists as Miami (24-31) posted a season high in points. Philadelphia (12-44) scored more than 100 for just the third time in 33 games.
Jazz 90, Spurs 81: Trey Burke scored 23 points and Gordon Hayward added 18 to lead the Utah Jazz to a victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
The triumph helped the Jazz (21-34) win the season series against the Spurs for the first time since the 2009-10 season.
Tim Duncan scored 14 points for the Spurs (34-22) turned the ball over 22 times, leading to 17 Jazz points.
Bulls 87, Bucks 71: Reserve guard Tony Snell scored 18 of his game-high 20 points in the first half and the Chicago Bulls had no trouble with the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Bucks (31-25) fell to 1-2 since trading leading scorer Brandon Knight to the Phoenix Suns on Feb. 19.
Pelicans 100, Raptors 97: Reserve center Alexis Ajinca hit a go-ahead layup off a wraparound feed from guard Tyreke Evans with 49 seconds left, and New Orleans added two late free throws to earn a comeback win.
Celtics 115, Suns 110: Isaiah Thomas burned his former team with six of his 21 points in the final 1:37 as the Boston Celtics held on to beat the Phoenix Suns.
Nets 110, Nuggets 82: Deron Williams had 16 points and 12 assists, center Brooks Lopez scored 19 points and pulled down nine rebounds and the Brooklyn Nets beat the slumping Denver Nuggets. — Agencies
