Deutsche Bank's Middle East Foundation announced its partnership with Mawaddah Foundation to support an educational program for single mothers in Saudi Arabia. The program has been designed by Mawaddah Foundation to support and improve the economic and social situation of non-working single mothers aged 25 to 45 years through the establishment of special cooking classes which will help them launching their own food business from home. In addition to industrial local and global cooking techniques, the classes will provide self-development, small business management and e-marketing skills for the participants to sustain their business in the future. Furthermore, the foundation will supply the necessary equipment for them to start their business right after graduation. Jamal Al Kishi, Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Securities Saudi Arabia, said: “We are delighted to support Mawaddah Foundation's special program to help single mothers become more self-sufficient by establishing their own business from home. This program is part of Deutsche Bank's genuine commitment to contribute positively to the society and communities where it operates.” Sarah Al-Dahmash, Director of Social Services and Development Programs at Mawaddah Foundation, said: “We are very grateful for the support offered by Deutsche Bank's Middle East Foundation and its contribution towards achieving the development goals of Mawaddah Foundation. We strive to offer leading programs and projects that enhance the abilities of all beneficiaries and support their integration into the move towards a sustainable development, with the aim to build self-efficient, financially-independent families.” — SG
