RIYADH — The Ministry of Interior warned against the circulation of forged documents aimed at conning citizens and expatriates in the Kingdom by giving the impression that the fraudsters have general authorization that exempts them from the regulatory procedures, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Maj. Gen. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Marawal, director of public relations at the ministry, confirmed that fraudsters are duping people into believing that they have special exceptions for cases that would otherwise be subject to Shariah and regulatory controls. He warned that the concerned authorities are monitoring the fraudsters and will bring to task those responsible for the scheme.
