All set for UPL Elite Cup semis

JEDDAH — Target Guys, Elaf, Kerala Strikers and Rising Stars won their respective matches to complete the UPL Elite Cup semifinals lineup here.
In a skillful contest between Elaf and ATS, it took an enterprising display of knock by Elaf's Amir and Adnan to put 110 on the board. Amir hit 45 off 15 delivers with four sixes. Adnan was equally destructive during his entertaining innings of 30 in 13 balls. Ali snatched 3-18.
Chasing 110, ATS fell for 64 with Tahir contributing 25. Amir then showed his skills with the ball by taking 2-13 while Amjad, Madhura and Qaiser seized 1 wicket apiece.
Kerala Strikers have looked sharper this time around as the players are fighting for wins.
JICC took the strike first and scored 81 against Kerala Strikers. Maaz amazed the crowed with his gusty 42 including 4 sixes. Usman grabbed 3 wickets and Himayoun 1.
Kerala Strikers were home in the 6th overs when Babar (57) flung a ball over mid-on for 6. Usman contributed an unbeaten 18.
In the 3rd contest of the evening, Target Guys registered a comfortable win over Tech Yorkers. Batting first, Target Guys managed 98. Zawahir scored 41 off 17 balls. Shamsu added a blistering 35. Shamsheer, Asim and Osman took a wicket each. Chasing a challenging total, Tech Yorkers was bundled out for 54. Only Faisal and Waseem offered resistance, scoring 21 and 17, respectively. Salahudeen, Zawahir and Dinesh took 2 wickets each.
The last match of the evening was played between Lothers and IOE. Lothers put on 60 as Mushtaq and Khuram scored 20 each. Furqan scalped 3-19. In reply, Nawaz secured victory for IOE in 6th over with 40. Waseen hit a breezy 17. Shibu removed two batsmen. — SG
