Zahid Tractor unveils Volvo new truck range
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 26 - 11 - 2008

Zahid Tractor, exclusive distributor of Volvo Trucks in Saudi Arabia, has launched recently exciting new truck range that focuses on fuel efficiency, comfort and safety.
With the new range, Volvo Trucks has focused on optimizing the driver environment and introducing new safety support systems. Drivers and owners alike can look forward to efficient truck performance, groundbreaking innovations and advanced support services for a safer, more comfortable and more profitable transport operation.
The cab of the new Volvo FM and Volvo FH features a completely redesigned interior for advanced comfort and functionality. The Volvo FH offers drivers remarkable convenience while driving and working. It includes innovative lighting solutions, more spacious interior and smart storage solutions. The new features in the Volvo FM and Volvo FH will help promote increased driver efficiency.
Volvo Trucks is also introducing new safety support systems, such as the industry-first Driver Alert Support. Available as an option, this unique system uses a camera to monitor the vehicle's course in relation to the road markings, and alerts the driver if it detects an irregular driving pattern.
Other new, optional safety innovations include Lane Changing Support, which uses a radar to detect vehicles driving alongside the cab on the passenger side - eliminating the blind spot, and Cornering Lights, which light up a wider area in the direction of the turn.
The new Volvo FH16 is a top-of-the-line truck with a powerful stance, making it the undisputed flagship of the Volvo Trucks range. It combines the efficiency of I-Shift (optional) and the mighty performance of the D16 engine. As part of the launch of the new product range, Zahid Tractor and Volvo Trucks are sharpening their commitment to offering customers profitable total business solutions.
Zahid Tractor, through its highly dependable Customer Support Network, is able to offer its customers flexible financial solutions and a unique range of support services, including tailored service contracts, designed to enhance truck efficiency, fuel efficiency and overall operational efficiency.
The new Volvo Trucks range combined with world-class support services reaffirms Volvo position as a global leader in transport development.
