DAMMAM – The organizing committee for the Saudi Film Festival (SFF) announced the names of the scenario judgment panel. The SFF, in its second edition being organized by the Cultural and Arts Society here, will be held during Feb. 20-24, 2015. In performing arts, a scenario is a synoptical collage of an event or series of actions and events. The SFF also announced that 22 films and 15 scenarios have been registered in the festival's website till now. Registration will continue until Jan. 20, 2015, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said on Wednesday. Participating works and queries will be received through the website saudifilmfestival.org in which competition for short films including cartoons, short documentaries and scenarios will be discussed. As one of the national initiative programs for developing the Saudi film industry, the festival is striving to become a catalyst for the film industry while boosting cultural activities in the Kingdom. The aim is also to give Saudi talents, including young men and women concerned with the film industry, an opportunity to showcase their works and creating an environment for exchange of ideas between creative people in the film industry. — SG
