Brothel house and distillery raided

KHAMIS MUSHAYT – The Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Khamis Mushayt Industrial Zone arrested 11 Africans including four women on Thursday for alleged prostitution and bootlegging. The arrests took place during a raid on their den in Al-Emarah District, Asir Police spokesman, Col. Abdullah Al-Qarni, said. – Okaz/SG
Asir man dies, two rescued

ASIR – A person was drowned in a no-swimming zone in Al-Qouhmah Rural Center here on Friday. However, the Border Guards were able to rescue two others from drowning. – Okaz/SG
Family driver held for liquor trade

RIYADH – Riyadh Police are interrogating an Asian family driver over his involvement in distilling liquor in his room at his sponsor's house east of the city. The suspect, having forged driving license and Iqama, was arrested while peddling the liquor. He used to indulge in the business while driving children of his sponsor to the school and carrying out other family errands. – Okaz/SG
Taif girl attempts suicide

TAIF – Al-Nozhah Police here is investigating a suicide attempt by a girl in her 20s. The girl attempted to kill herself on Friday by taking a large quantity of medications and a quantity of Clorox bleaching powder at her family home in Sh'har District. The Civil Defense team moved the girl to King Faisal Hospital. Her condition is reported to be critical.
