HAFR AL-BATIN — Police have detained two citizens in their 20s for allegedly robbing a shop owner of SR50,000. Spokesman for Eastern Province Police Col. Ziyad Al-Reqaiti said the two suspects entered a money exchange shop owned by a citizen in his 60s and forced him inside the business, away from sight. They then forced him to hand them the money. The shop owner notified police and search and investigation teams were successful in tracking down the suspects and detained them while they were carrying some of the stolen money. After completing their questioning, police will refer the pair to investigation bodies for further action.
