Asia XI, ADPCO shine in EPCA

In the 2nd week of EPCA T20 Tournament, ADPCO beat Al-Majdouie by 66 runs.
ADPCO scored 202 runs in 20 overs due to fine batting display by Tanveer (37), Syed Amin (37), Mahboob Nabi (39), Tapas (27) and Sohrab (35 n.o.). Sohail, Sufian and Sabir chipped in with a wicket each. In reply, Al-Majdouie CC openers did well and scored 73 runs in first 10 overs. After the departure of Tajamul (25) and Hussain (46 - 5 fours) the middle order collapsed and the team managed 137 runs - 66 runs short of victory target. Riazuddin, Unni, Sohrab and Tapas shared the wickets.
Asia XI beat Royal Kashmir XI in a low scoring match. Royal Kashmir XI was all out for 97. Tasaddaq, Rizwan and Abid claimed two wickets each and there were three run outs. In reply, Asia XI reached the target in the 15th over. Abid scored a quickfire 46 runs in 21 balls. Ali scored an unbeaten 21 runs and Khaled contributed 19. Imtiaz and Eijaz claimed a wicket each.
Strikers put on a reasonable target of 154 against Natest. Openers Nabeel (30), Mumtaz (41) had a fine opening stand of 69 runs. But after their departure, only Wasi (16) played a patient knock. Kashif bowled brilliantly with Murtuza and Omer. Murtuza chipped in with 3 wickets and Kashif, Omer got two each.
In reply, Natest managed to reach 154 with less number of wickets. Bilal played the anchor role as he was unbeaten on 64. Kashif was bowled by Mumtaz for 24. Nasir Zain and Waheed also played well and scored 19 and 18 respectively. Saqib of Strikers bowled well and claimed two wickets for 27.
Suzuki Saudia CC piled up 233-2 against Sialkot XI. Shani and Mohsin (58) scored 114 in 10 overs. Kashif scored an unbeaten 62. Shani (38) was bowled by Bawa, and Zahid was unbeaten on 46. In reply, Sialkot XI batsmen looked confused. Except Tasaddaq (36) other batsmen failed. The team was all out for 136.
Date CC beat Saudi Readymix CC. Date scored 159. Abbas (51) batted sensibly and started the season with a half century. At one stage, Date score was 98-8. Then an experienced Yasin joined Abbas and took the score to 159. Yasin contributed 28 and Mohsin chipped in with 22. In reply, Saudi Readymix was all out for 121. Zubair took three crucial wickets. Fasiuddin got two. __
