Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah issued orders to extend financial assistance worth SR1,395,655,500 to all Saudi families who are beneficiaries of social security scheme in the Kingdom. The assistance is meant for supporting needy families to meet their essential requirements during Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr, said Minister of Social Affairs Yousef Al-Othaimeen. The assistance is an additional amount for these families who receive their monthly allowance, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The minister thanked King Abdullah for his humanitarian gesture that will help meet basic living requirements of the poor and needy families, including elderly people, sick, widows, divorcees, orphans, families of the prisoners and other weaker sections. Al-Othaimeen said the ministry will take necessary procedures to implement the King's order immediately so that the targeted families would take advantage of it in the right time. “The new assistance will be distributed among the beneficiaries through their bank accounts electronically and so that they need not contact the ministry branch offices personally for the same,” he said. More executive courts to be set up King Abdullah also issued orders to set up specialized executive courts in order to expedite the implementation of court verdicts in a number of cities across the Kingdom. Minister of Justice Sheikh Muhammad Al-Isa said that the King approved upgrading the status of the existing executive circuits at the general courts to specialized executive courts. “The directive, which is part of King Abdullah's judicial reforms, would help avoid delay in execution of court verdicts,” he added.
