The Min Huna booth by Princess Dimah and Princess Lama during the five-day Magic Carpet Festival that concludes today at the Jeddah Exhibition Center. Two young ladies have taken community support and commitment to new heights with their annual design and initiative under the theme “Min Huna” this year donating proceeds to the benefit of the National Home Health Care Foundation. Princess Dimah bint Mansour bin Bandar and Princess Lama bint Mansour bin Bandar put their creative flair to work in designing and producing exclusive bags to be sold at the Annual Magic Carpet Festival (Bissat AlReeh). Min Huna is an annual project, debuting every Ramadan, a concept founded by these two young women who put their passion for art and design in service of their community. “This is the second year we've taken part in the Magic Carpet Festival,” said Princess Dimah, “and we are pleased with the feedback and interest of the public. Each year we begin planning our concept and drawing sketches before going into production in hopes of creating something fun and new for our consumer, keeping in mind our main initiative which is serving our community.” “Min Huna (meaning “From Here”) is a concept which holds two meanings: it is a starting point for our consumers to be more aware about community service and it is also a concept in which we implement our identity by designing items inspired by our culture, like using vintage Saudi postage stamps on our bags this year,” Princess Lama added. Abeer Kabbani, Board Member of the National Home Health Care Foundation, said “seeing such dedication and commitment from our partners and community as a whole for the support of those in need is very humbling. Such donations make a major difference in the lives of our patients because they help fund medical, health and social service requirements.” — SG
