RIYADH — The “Lajna Ilmiya (Education Society)” organized its fifth workshop titled “Istiqbal-e-Ramazan (Welcome Ramadan)” Friday. The new look of Najeeb Qasmi's website www.najeebqasmi.com was also launched on the occasion. Six articles were read in the workshop: “Ramazan aur Roza (Ramadan and Fasting)” by Tahir Ahmad Qasmi, “Ramazan and Qur'an (Ramadan and Qur'an)” by Inamul Haque Qasmi, “Ramazan ke Shab-o-Roz” by Ghufran Sajid Qasmi, “Ramazan ka Akhri Ashra (Ramadan and its Last 10 days)” by Abdur Rahman Umari, “Zakat wa Sadqa-e-Fitr ke Masail (Jurisprudence on Zakah and Sadaqah)” by Javed Akhtar Qasmi, and”Ramazan ke Ba'ad (Post Ramadan)” by Mufti Ashique Elahi. Much stress was given on reciting the Holy Qur'an and worship as much as possible. Maulana Abdul Bari Qasmi, who presided over the workshop, gave his comments on all the articles. The workshop was compered by Najeeb Qasmi. M. Haroon Qasmi, who gave the vote of thanks, along with Mohammad Saleem played the pivotal role in organizing the workshop. The workshop ended with a supplication made by Syed Kashif Kareem. The workshop was attended by various prominent personalities both from India and Pakistan including women and children. — SG
