JEDDAH – Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Prince Mansour Bin Miteb and Makkah Emir Prince Mishal Bin Abdullah signed on Wednesday a contract with AECOM Arabia Company for extending consultancy services to the preparatory project management program for public transport in Jeddah region. The period of the implementation of the contract, costing SR105 million, is 18 months. Jeddah Mayor Hani Abu Ras, Metro Jeddah Company CEO Osama Abdu and AECOM Arabia Chairman Mazen Matar attended the signing ceremony held at the emir's office in Jeddah. Under the contract, AECOM Arabia will supply expert staff to support Metro Jeddah through preliminary planning and design work for various phases of Jeddah public transport project. Meanwhile, a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Development Authority for Makkah and the Holy Sites, chaired by Prince Mishal Bin Abdullah, discussed various aspects of implementing the King Abdullah Project for the Development of Makkah, and the Project for Development of the Holy Sites.
