SYDNEY — Canberra Raiders beat Melbourne Storm 24-22 on Sunday in the National Rugby League to turn the tables on an opponent that has dominated them over the past decade. The previous time the teams met, the Storm won 69-4. And the Raiders had beaten the Storm just four times since 2003, a demoralizing run that included 14 consecutive defeats. But on Sunday, the Raiders ended a six-match losing streak at Canberra Stadium when prop Paul Vaughan's 79th-minute try capped a comeback after trailing 16-12 at halftime. Elsewhere, the Sydney Roosters recorded a 24-18 win over Cronulla, St. George Illawarra beat New Zealand Warriors 20-10 and Canterbury won 15-14 victory over Canterbury. — AP
