Hamrani, Abid Sheikh, Attieh in semis

Hamrani Tata, Abid Sheikh, Attieh and Johnson Blue entered the semifinals of the JCL Division II Championship at the Jeddah Cricket League Complex in Obhur.
On ground 6 the top ranked ICC from Group B opted to bat against Al-Hamrani Tata and made 140-9 in the stipulated 18 overs. Raheel made 30 and Zameer contributed 20. Irfan restricted ICC by scalping 3 wickets as Mubarak took 2. In response, Al-Hamrani Tata reached the atarget (143-4) in 87 balls mainly through Hussain (31) and Naved (27). Irfan took 2 wickets.
On ground 9, after choosing to bat first, Johnson Blue racked up 207-4. Opener Farrukh blasted the Khaiber bowlers to post a quickfire 37 off 18 balls and he was well supported by Aamir who stroked 77 from 45 balls with 10 hits to the fence. Ameen made 26 and Atta remained not out on 24. Khaiber lost the match.
Abid Sheikh batting first against R.R. Hawks put up 150-7 at ground 5. Aftab played with his usual flair to make 62 in 31 balls with 2 sixes and 7 fours. Abbas made 24. Naveed got 2 wickets. In reply R.R. Hawks caved in for mere 93 in 15.3 overs. Kaiser who took 4 wickets and Sarfaraz got 2. Apart from Lateef (39 not out) none could cross double figures.
In another encounter, Attieh trounced Gentec by 4 wickets. Gentec scored 137-6 as Jai Kumar hit 54 and Zubair remained unbeaten on 24. Faiz of Attieh grabbed 4 wickets. Attieh was home in the 17th over as Shahid Shaouk who made 52 with 9 hits to the ropes and Shahid who scored 27, added 80 runs for the first wicket in 8 overs. Sajjad was run out for 24 off 10 balls. Kaleem took 2-11.
In the Plate quarterfinals, Saudia City scored 149-7 against ALJ. Atif scored 69 and Jamshed made 23. Madni and Naveen got 2 wickets each. ALJ conceded the match after 12.4 overs by scoring 110-6. Javed took 3-18.
Deccan Blues put up 134-7 after winning the toss against ATS. Ijaz scored 30 and Qadeer made 27.
Nadeem took 2 wickets. ATS won the match by 8 wickets by reaching 135-2 in 93 balls. Javed batted well for 67 with a six and 8 boundaries. Farooque scored 37 with 4 fours.
IDB lost to Johnson Green by 33 runs as Johnson Green using the track first piled up 182-2. Khabbab scored 56 in 31 balls. He added 89 for the first wicket with Nasir who made 46 in 23 balls and then produced 93 runs with one down Mumtaz Taj (56). IDB, which required to score more than 10 runs per over, started promisingly but lost the way in the middle to manage 149-6. Muzammil made 35, Razi 28 and Iftikhar 32 not out.
BTC humbled Reel & Rom to 73-9 in 12 overs after piling up 203-5. Naseer of BTC scored 80 in 45 balls with a six and 10 fours. Ibrahim remained unbeaten on 44. Usman made 32. Franki took 2-25. Reel & Rom succumbed to the devastating bowling of Ibrahim who scalped 5-17 in 4 overs taking 4 wickets in one over. __
