JEDDAH — Cooking can be lots of fun. There are lots of sounds, smells, and tastes to enjoy in the kitchen.
When you melt butter over heat it sizzles and a chef's favorite sound is the sound of cracking an egg. Mixing flour gets your hands covered in the white powder and for an extra laugh, try spotting your friend's or your mom's nose with a bit of flour. The best part of being in the kitchen is that you can lick the chocolate frosting off your fingers after decorating a cake, and you get to eat the tasty foods that you made.
If you love slicing, mixing, baking, and cooking you can be a little chef. Try these great recipes that are easy enough even for a young chef. Remember, any good chef follows these steps.

* Take your parent's permission before entering the kitchen and always ask for help if you will be using electrical equipment, the stove, or oven.

* If you have long hair tie it back so it does not end up getting in the food.

* If you are wearing long sleeves, roll them up to your elbows. It is best to wear an apron.

* Wash your hand before you touch any food.

* Read the whole recipe before you get started so you can be prepared.

* Gather all the equipment that you will need and get it ready, such as bowls, spoons, measuring cups, baking pans, mixers, and all the ingredients.

* When slicing or chopping ingredients, be extra careful, and use a cutting board.

* For liquids like milk, water, or oil, use a measuring cup with a spout so you can pour without spilling.

* For dry ingredients like flour or sugar, use a measuring cup without a spout.

Are you ready to dive into the kitchen and make mouth-watering breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes, and just as important, delicious dessert?
To know the difficulty level of each, we have placed stars under each recipe; 1 being the easiest and 5 the hardest.

Breakfast
Frying Pan Eggs **
Ingredients
2 large eggs
2 Tablespoons milk
Dash of salt and pepper
Half tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons red bell pepper, chopped
Directions
1. Crack the eggs into a small bowl. Add the milk, salt, and pepper, and mix together.
2. With the help of an adult, melt the butter in a frying pan over low heat, add the mixture.
3. Add the red bell pepper.
4. With a wooden spoon, mix the eggs around so they get cooked, and repeat this until no liquid is left in the pan and the eggs are cooked.
5. Serve and enjoy with toasted brown toast, cut into fun shapes; triangles, squares, and circles.
Lunch

1 pack (350 grams) of small pasta shells
Half cup chopped red bell pepper
Half cup cherry tomatoes, cut in half
Half cup shredded carrots
One fourth cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 Tablespoons chopped green onions
1 cup Italian salad dressing
Dash of salt and pepper
Directions
