PISJ-ES Student Council vows to uphold Pakistan founder Jinnah's values

JEDDAH — Pakistan International School Jeddah English Section (PISJ-ES) witnessed the Student Council oath taking ceremony 2013-2014.
The Counsel General of Pakistan, Aftab Ahmed Khokar, was the chief guest who was accompanied by the guest of honor and press counselor and link officer of PISJ-ES Sohail Ali Khan.
Khokar congratulated the newly elected student council showing his full support to the school administration.
He said: “The Student Council was an excellent platform for building confidence in the students and he wished them good luck for their future endeavors.”
The counsel general also announced that an Inter-school debate competition will be held on March 23.
“I have a firm belief that any academic institution cannot flourish or make its record unless there is an excellent team for grooming our generation as per the challenges of the time,” said acting principal of PISJ-ES Imran Raza Khan while addressing the students.
The ceremony started off with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an which was followed by the National Anthem of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
PISJ-ES has always aimed to honor the skills of potential leaders of Pakistan by upholding the values of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who gave his nation the message of unity, faith and discipline.
Khan also guaranteed full support to the teachers, administration, and students for their guidance regarding seeking religious and worldly education.
This was followed by the oath taking in which the students vowed to uphold the highest ideals of the school and remain committed to attending Student Council meetings, carry their share of duties, and to consider fairly and impartially the welfare of every class and student, constantly reminding themselves that their ultimate mission is the betterment of the school.
Furthermore, they vowed to attain high merit records and to prove themselves worthy of their positions, exhibiting loyalty to their beloved country Pakistan.
The elected boys' student council consisted of President Ferjad Naeem of Y13, Vice President Naeem Ashraf of Y12, General Secretary Ibrahim Safdar of Y12, Event Manager Hassan Kamran Y11, Tresurer Malik Anus Mehmood of Y12 and Media Manager Abdul Rafeh Awan of Y12.
The elected council of the girls consisted of President Minahil Saifullah of Y13, Vice President Maida Malik of Y12, General Secretary Faiza Mohsin of Y12, Event Manager Mariyam Sohail of Y12, Treasurer Subah Rehman of Y10, and Media Manager Sadia Shafqat of Y12. — SG
