DAMMAM — Ghulam Mujtaba blasted a century, while a fine all-round performance by Khawar Sohail and a century by Shapeeb lit up the Sikander Farooqui T20 Memorial Tournament here at EPCA, which is being sponsored and organized by Saudi Cricket Centre.
Premier Division
Pak Saudi racked up 231-7 against Gulf Link as Shakeeb hammered 102 in 48 balls with 9 fours and 5 sixes and Tariq made 35. Gulf Link, in response, could get to 189-9, losing by 42 runs. Kashif made 59. Shafeeq of Pak-Saudi took 3 wickets.
In the second match, Al-Ghamdi-XI plundered 203-2, thanks to Ahmed Rauf who hit 10 fours in 70 and Amjad Butt, who stroked 85 with 11 fours and 2 sixes. Sikander Farooqui-XI, in reply, lost the match by 29 runs as it was stranded at 174-9 through Imran Farooqui 33 and Sohail 39. Rehaan, Salman and Ahsaan took 2 wickets each.
In another match, Al-Tauwariqui piled up 224-6 against DHL as Khawar Sohail hammered 88 with 11 fours and 5 sixes and Mohammed Waqas made 30. Imran took 3 wickets and Mohsin 2. DHL, responding to this huge total, managed 156 to lose by 68 runs. Saif made 38 and Kashan 30. Khawar Sohail exhibiting fine all-round performance took 5-19.
In the last match, AMS Bin Dilamah posted 162-8 as Tanveer made 50 and Wasim 34. Muneeb Hadi grabbed 5-29, and Shehraz 3. Gyptic H Dolphins achieved the target (165-4) in the 15th over through Zohaib 52, Hayek Khan 47 and Zeeshan 36.
First Division
Gladiators posted 165-9. Mubeen made 24, while Osama and Rizwan took 3 wickets. Toya Young Stars, in reply, made 166-7 in 16 overs. Rizwan Shehzad hit 61. Iqbal and Talha took 2 wickets each.
In the second match, Harley Davidson plundered 289-2 against Binzagar through Ghulam Mujtaba, who blasted 183 with 5 sixes and 25 fours in 61 deliveries, while Yasir made 42. Binzagar, in reply, was bundled out for 92.
In the third match, Bin Dilamah ADPCO racked up 249-5 through Nabeel Butt 49, Badar Muneer 46, Kashif 38 and Sadiq 38. Mehruddin scalped 2 wickets. Al-Bawardi, in reply, was stranded at 188 as Mohammed Pervez hit 9 fours and a six to score 92 in 58 balls. Silva took 3 wickets and Kashif Butt 2.
EI Palace Arabia hammered 194-9 through Saleem Dar 71 with 3 sixes and 7 fours and Shahid Shuja 51. Sharib took 4-30, while Abdullah had 2 wickets.
Hyderabad Green, in reply, could make only 156 and lost the encounter by 38 runs. Junaid made 34. Shahid Shuja and Mohammed Ziyad took 3 wickets each, while Waqas had 2.
In the last match, Eastern Arabia piled up 164, mainly through Uganda 45. Hamid of Young Guns grabbed 4-19, while Hamza had 3 and Mudassir 2. Young Guns, in reply, were stranded at 134. Ammar made 64 and Abdullah 30.
