With regard to the report "Malala has done ‘nothing' to earn rights prize: Taliban" (Oct. 11), the so-called Taliban spokesman Shahidullah Shahid is a misguided person. He knows nothing of what Islam is all about. He calls Malala the enemy of Islam. The whole world now knows very well that the Taliban are the real enemies of Islam and that Malala is certainly not. In fact she has upheld the good name of Pakistan and Pakistanis. Persons like Malala are born once in a century. We must, therefore, all remain very proud of her for her achievements which she has accomplished at such a tender age. Faiz Al-Najdi, Online response II. As a doctor and a resident of Pakistan, I can truly say that what is written about Malala Yousafzai is all propaganda against true Islam. I am proud to be a Muslim and to state that the Taliban were never against the education of girls. But as a Muslim one cannot bear that Islamic laws are being mocked by Malala. She is against Muslim women wearing the face veil. She writes about this in her book. So don't judge Malala by praising her.
