Elaborate Eid festivities in Riyadh

Riyadh Municipality has planned elaborate festivities during the upcoming Eid holidays. A number of festive and recreational events and activities including fireworks, sports shows and remote control air shows will be among the star attractions.
The 10-minute simultaneous fireworks display will take place at six different places distributed geographically across the city exactly at 9.30 P.M., according to a brochure distributed by the municipality.
Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium in Al-Malaz Quarter will host several sports activities and shows including wall trampoline, flying trapeze, banji show, motorcycle show, Kenyan and Chinese show and a car show. The stadium will also be the venue for a number of folklore shows for the various communities residing in the Kingdom.
The Al-Rawda Garden activities include a cinema tent and a remote control car race. At Municipal Square in Al-Shifa Quarter (Badr), the Saudi fort will include a number of games and in the open theater cartoon shows, acrobatics, many games and song competitions have been planned. Saudi dance (Al-Ardha), horse show and comedy and old popular shows will be performed at East Riyadh Park Square (in Al-Qadissiah Quarter). All the activities here will run from 4.30 P.M till midnight.
A number of booths and shops specializing in the sale of gifts and sweets will be set up as part of the “feast joy activity” in Al-Zouhoors Passageway on King Abdullah Road. Air games, competitions, fun challenges and gifts are part of the program here which will also run from the afternoon till midnight.
With the participation of a number of Saudi professionals and others from Gulf countries, the remote control air show will offer a breathtaking aerial performance at the old Equitation Club in Al-Malaz District. Cars and bikes fitted with the strongest engines are scheduled to participate in the car and motorcycle championships.
Activities at King Abdul Aziz Manakh Garden will be devoted to families. These include various competitions, games and monologues, sound imitation, painting and air games. __
