War has spread all over Syria and your article “Act now, Saud tells UN, EU” (Aug. 22) shows that the situation has become very grim. After seeing the pictures accompanying the article anyone will cry and curse Bashar Al-Assad and his loyalists for what they have done. They have taken the lives of innocent children. They have become crazy for the sake of power and for their greed. Al-Assad has become blind to the sufferings of his own people. Isn't he ashamed of himself, killing innocent children? Can we still call him a Muslim? What he has been doing is not the work of a Muslim. In the past, Muslim rulers defended their own people and even sacrificed their lives. They were the real Muslims, not people like Al-Assad. Shame on him.
