AL-BAHA — For the second time in a row, Al-Baha police officers prevented a Saudi in his 30s from committing suicide, according to police chief Brig. Mesfer Al-Khathami. The man climbed a high rock outcrop in Baljurashi Governorate Sunday night. A group of men spotted him and reported the incident to the police. The man was holding a heavy object in his hand and threatened that he would attack any one trying to approach him. However, two officers snuck from behind and overpowered him before he could jump. The man had earlier tried to commit suicide during Ramadan when he threatened to jump off a tall building. He will now undergo a complete psychological assessment to determine his sanity.
