JEDDAH — The newest Khan on the block, Imran Khan, will be the central focus on Zee Aflam, the first Pan-Arab 24-hour free-to-air Bollywood film channel dedicated to Arabic audiences, with a line-up of films dedicated entirely to his career. Timed with the release of his newest film Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Doobara, the showcase will feature four of the many films in which the up-and-coming actor has proved his mettle in the industry. Flagging off the showcase is Luck on Aug. 9, which follows an underworld kingpin's process of recruiting people endowed with ‘luck,' to take part in a series of games designed to test their fate, as gamblers from around the world bet on their failure. The film stars Shruti Hassan, Sanjay Dutt, Danny Denzongpa, and Ravi Kissen. When Vikrant's daughter, Sonia, is kidnapped, the suspect makes it clear that he does not want any money, but instead, wants Vikrant to perform a number of tasks, including burglary. A mind-boggling thriller, Kidnap makes its second screen appearance on Aug. 16, starring Minisha Lamba, Sanjay Dutt, and Rahul Dev. Deepika Padukone, Sharmila Tagore, and Sahana Goswami, join Imran Khan in Break Ke Baad, on Aug. 23. Narrating the story of Aliaya, who wants to take a break from her childhood love, Break Ke Baad is the result of a love-struck boy who ends up following the girl of his dreams to Australia, forcing her to break up with him. When a young man tries to arrange his brother's marriage in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, his plan falls apart when he finds himself falling in love with the chosen fiancée. Starring Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, will air on Aug. 30. The films will air at 19:00 KSA time. — SG
