The article "Homeless Saudis and housing allowance" (Aug 1) reports that some statistics suggest that 60 percent of Saudis do not own their own homes. The main problem in the Kingdom is that each family owns complete buildings rather than individual flats. In countries like Pakistan, India and Bangladesh with very large populations, many people own their own individual flats.
