Cesae De Mesa RIYADH — Team Habagat sent an early warning that it is one of the teams to beat by ruling week two of the Unified Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (UFTBR) and Etihad Airways Wednesday Bowling League 5th Conference at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC) here recently. Habagat rolled an almost perfect game of 21 points against Tsamba Bowlers (5 points). Leading the team was Stephen Solomon with a 4-game series of 919, with contributions from Dennis Durens (828), Noel Marquez (805), Cecille Solomon (773), Ernee Noto (548) and Steve Perez (170). In other games, Rotonda soared into first place of the team standings with a convincing win over Mandirigma 20-5, UFTBR Finest sustained its winning form by beating Vinnell Arabia 13-8, Daily Double defeated Thunder Strikers 19-8, last conference runner-up Kamahalan outlasted defending champion NBA 16-8, Labs U narrowly won over SACO Bolts 10-8 and Unica downed R&B 15-6. JR Raymundo bagged the Bowler of the Week Award in Group 1 with a series of 950 with Cheng Herosa winning the Group 2 plum with a series of 926. Stephen Solomon took an early lead in the Group 1 MVP race with an average of 225, followed by Jove Marano (218) and JR Raymundo (215). In Group 2 MVP battle, Ruel Pingol leads with an average of 198, followed by Cheng Herosa (187) and Jun Daniel (182). For the second successive conference, the league's main sponsor is once again Etihad Airways. The league management team is composed of Cesar De Mesa, Armin Isles, Dennis Durens and Nap Torres.
