CMC Z7: A car at its best
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 13 - 07 - 2013

The CMC Z7, new in Saudi Arabia, is actually an iteration of a Taiwanese model called the Mitsubishi Zinger, and sharing a chassis with the Mitsubishi Nativa.
The car is more of a crossover MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) than an SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) manufactured by Taipei-based China Motor Corporation and is aptly called Z7 because it has a seven-passenger seating capacity.
Exclusively marketed in Saudi Arabia by Alesayi Motors Corporation, the sleek car with an impressive presence and a sporty edge, adds new dimensions to driving pleasure. The all-new Z7 is fully equipped to meet the great market demand for such a vehicle as it is designed for the changing needs of commercial, passenger or leisure purposes.
Test-driving the streamlined car, which is powered by a Mitsubishi-sourced 2.4-litre 4-cylinder engine mated to a 4-speed automatic, Z7 gains speed quietly, with hardly noticeable thud if any of its wheels hits potholes on the road. It has a sporty design wheel cut molding and side sill garnish, a compact yet spacious interior with generous room to fit 7 passengers comfortably, with the option of removing the third row or folding the second row to create extra storage space. Also, its advanced features include a powerful air conditioning system that creates a comfortable cabin climate, a CD player and USB jack, and numerous storage spaces including a large glove box, door pockets and cup-holders.
Bandar Saeed Alesayi, Vice President of Alesayi Motors, said “after an in-depth study of the market, we are sure that a value-orientated roomy car such as this will be highly sought-after here. The powertrain is supplied by Mitsubishi Motors so we know the quality and strength of the car and of course, because of this, we have full parts availability.”
He added:” We have a network of integrated centers in the main cities of Saudi Arabia, including service and spare parts facilities. We will utilize all our resources and our vast experience, which goes back to more than 50 years, to ensure the success of this great family car.”
Moreover, the advanced Japanese technology embedded in the new Z7 provides high level of reliability along with safety to passengers as it is equipped with dual airbags, an anti-lock brake system (ABS) and electronic brake distribution (EBD). Also, its high rigidity chassis frame creates a superior SUV-level combination of high handling stability and ride comfort while it's large 16” alloy wheels have been specifically designed to drive through rough terrain and during any condition.
CMC is a well-established automotive brand in the country with a reputation for reliable products. The launch of the Z7 at very competitive prices starting from SR69,000 and excellent after-sales support provided by Alesayi Motors makes it a sure winner in its segment. No doubt, with its impressive road performance, and relaxing interior, CMC Z7 will surely add new dimensions to driving pleasure. – SG
