JEDDAH — “One Team, One Dream” is the theme of PICPAWR TC 2013-2014 officers. The newly inducted president TM Beniffer Consolacion presented the idea behind the acronym ONE (Opportunity Never Ends) TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) and DREAM (Dedicated Responsible Energetic Active Member) while delivering his speech at an event held for toastmasters at Shadow Lounge. Prominent toastmasters of different clubs attended the event which was spearheaded by the Lieutenant Governor for Education and Training DTM Joey Villanueva and Past Division Governor TM Danilo Abenes, and his wife and Past Division Secretary Myla Abenes. Other toastmasters who were part of the event were Division H Governor TM Glen Sibag, Immediate Past Division Governor G DTM Reginaldo Maga, Area 28 Governor TM Rhic S. Briones, Jiddah Refinery Toastmasters Club President TM Ali Khozzabah, Area 24 Governor TM Gino Ruperez, Asst Division Governor for Education and Training TM Johnnygene Padillo, and former president of PICPAWR Evelyn Pelo Santos. The officers were inducted by Area 28 Governor TM Rhic S. Briones as follows TM Beniffer Consolacion, President; TM Gino Ruperez, Vice-President Education; TM Ramces Dungog, Vice-President Membership; TM Bai Surayne Ansari, Vice President Public Relations; TM Ferdinand Fincalero, Secretary; TM Ahmed Mohamed Nur Jama, treasurer; and TM Abdullah Al-Zaher, Sergeant at Arms. The outgoing officer headed by Immediate Past President Peter Tamang, Jr. honored and awarded PICPAWR toastmasters' members who had individually contributed to the success of the club during 2012-2013 Toastmasters International in communication and leadership skills. It proved that PICPAWR TC is one of the best performing clubs in the whole District 79 from the time it was chartered. DTM Reggie Maga said that PICPAWR TC does not only produce leaders at the club level, but also area and division levels. DTM Joey Villanueva gave the attendees an inspiring message which held the core values of Toastmasters International: Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE).
TM Danny Abenes and TM Glen Sibag also delivered motivational and inspirational messages. Plaque of Recognition was given to TM Venecio Legaspi, as the winner for club theme contest. The event wrapped up after conducting its first regular meeting. — SG
