WESTCON Group, a value-added distributor of category-leading unified communications, network infrastructure, data center and security solutions with a global network of specialty resellers, has appointed Christopher Green as the Divisional Head for its Security Business Unit. He will manage the sales and pre-sales teams for Westcon's portfolio of Juniper, Blue Coat, Dell SonicWall and Kaspersky solutions, in order to grow Westcon's share of the regional IT security market. “The Middle East security market is growing”, said a report from research authority Frost & Sullivan. The report predicts that the Middle East network security market will experience a healthy growth rate of over 18 percent between 2012 and 2018. Westcon boasts a comprehensive security solutions portfolio that addresses network security, secure web gateways, enterprise email security, unified threat management, and cloud-based security.
