With regard to the article “No to sectarianism and division in society” (June 26), intellectuals and ulema are not doing enough to try to ease the tension caused by sectarian divisions in society. As a result, sectarianism is spreading like an epidemic among Muslims. We Muslims should realize that we are all followers of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and we all want peace and unity. Infighting has weakened us. Why do the ulema not talk about unity instead of supporting the particular ideology or group they represent?
