two victims of human trafficking almost lost their lives before being rescued in Al-Muhmal desert located between Bisha and Tathleeth. They were saved from a remote, isolated place named Al-Muwayqi'a. The individuals were being smuggled into the country when their smuggler convinced them to get out of the vehicle, claiming that they were a mere ten kilometers away from Taif. They reported that two other individuals who were in their company had walked away and that police agents, who were tipped off by an unknown individual presumed to be the smuggler himself, are still trying to locate them in the middle of the desert. The condition of the rescued men was stable, save for some who suffered mild exhaustion. According to information collected by the police, the smuggler is a Saudi citizen driving a red and black GMC and has charged the victims SR800 each.Mosaed Bin Saud Al-Tammami, Governor of Bisha, said that the illegal migrants were found in an area called Masarrah. Fifteen others died of thirst at the same location a month ago. Al-Tammami added that 36 other illegal migrants were rescued and arrested in the Al-Muhmal desert area last month. – Okaz __
