SAKAKA — The Olive Exhibition, held as part of the 19th Al-Jouf International Olive Festival organized by Al-Jouf Municipality, is reinforcing the Al-Jouf Region's position as the capital of olive oil production in the Kingdom. The exhibition offers visitors an integrated educational and economic experience, showcasing the full journey of the olive tree from cultivation and harvesting to processing and production. This year's edition has drawn notable international participation, with seven olive-producing countries, 45 local farmers, and 10 agricultural companies presenting their olive crops and olive oil products. With annual production exceeding 150,000 tons of table olives, Al-Jouf has emerged as a key destination for international companies and domestic producers seeking to exchange expertise and explore export opportunities. The region is home to more than 23 million olive trees, a scale that is prominently highlighted through the exhibition and underscores Al-Jouf's expanding role in the global olive sector. To ensure quality and consumer confidence, the Al-Jouf Municipality subjects all exhibited products to seven laboratory tests, including checks for acidity, rancidity, and commercial adulteration. Products are permitted for sale only after receiving the official "approved" label.
