DIRIYAH — The Ministry of Culture is set to host the second edition of the immersive theatrical show "Terhal" from August 4 to 25 at the Mayadeen site in Diriyah Governorate. The production, acclaimed for its innovative format, blends natural elements with cutting-edge visual and lighting technologies to create a compelling narrative rooted in Saudi heritage. "Terhal" follows the journey of a young Saudi man who, while studying in Riyadh, dreams of shaping the future in the digital age. Driven by a love for his country, he embarks on a journey across Saudi Arabia to reconnect with the Kingdom's rich cultural and natural heritage. Along the way, he discovers more about his identity and returns home with newfound wisdom and confidence. Inspired by Saudi Arabia's diverse landscapes, the show highlights traditional arts, musical heritage, crafts, clothing, and cuisine. It also brings together young Saudi talent and international performers to deliver a production that meets global artistic standards. The 2025 edition builds on the success of the debut performance in 2023, which received widespread acclaim for its celebration of Saudi culture through a visually rich and emotionally resonant theatrical experience.
