MUSCAT — The Literature, Publishing &Translation Commission launched its pavilion at the Muscat International Book Fair 2025. The fair, which will be held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center from April 24 to May 3, will feature 35 countries and 674 publishing houses participating. Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Wasil, CEO of the Literature Commission, emphasized that Saudi Arabia's participation in the Muscat International Book Fair 2025 stems from the strong cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and Oman. The Commission seeks to enhance cooperation in the fields of literature, publishing, and translation, given the flourishing cultural movement and intellectual progress witnessed by Saudi Arabia and Oman. He explained that the Book Fair represents a supportive opportunity for the book and publishing industry, as it allows Saudi publishers to network with their counterparts from around the world. The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission is leading Saudi Arabia's participation in the Muscat International Book Fair 2025, with the participation of several prominent cultural and educational entities, including the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language, King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives, King Abdulaziz Public Library, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur'an, the Publishing Association, and Taibah University. This participation comes within the framework of Saudi Arabia's efforts to strengthen cultural relations with Oman, expand areas of joint cooperation, and promote investment opportunities in the cultural sector, in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 to make culture a tributary to development and a bridge for cultural communication. The Saudi pavilion will showcase the creative diversity of the Saudi cultural scene through a comprehensive cultural program that includes literary seminars, dialogue sessions, and poetry evenings featuring a select group of Saudi speakers and writers.
